when i was really interested in lost media, the panchiko deathmetal album piqued my interest. when it was found i was really obsessed with it and even more so when they released the ferric oxide demo tapes. unfortunately, the crowd was all ages and for many of them it was obvious they had never been to a show before. untitled demo 1997 is my absolute favourite from them and the new rendition of NeilSSong was insane.

king gizzard was my favourite band in the first couple of years of high school, so being able to see them live was fantastic. budweiser stage (now some other stupid name) was pretty nice in the summertime for an outdoor crowd. geese opened for them and they did not really give that great of a performance compared to when i saw them later. kglw discography is so wide that i didn't really know much of the material that they played, but the performance was fantastic, and im glad they played some stuff from nonagon infinity

this was a weird one for me. i enjoyed the music and the band in general, and they played a lot of the songs that i went to the show for. however the energy of the band was so low and the people in the crowd sucked. i noticed that instead of tuning guitars in between songs, they'd just have a stagehand swapping out guitars that were tuned for them so they could play the set seamlessly. they definitely had the shows in a very planned out manner, but to me at least it felt a bit robotic.

one of my favourite shows i've ever been to. the atmosphere of this show was intense and i really hope that i can see xiu xiu again. unfortunately, this show took place about a year before the venue closed. it's sad because it was one of my favourite venues in the city. there are still some songs i would love to see from xiu xiu, but this setlist was great and unforgettable.

good show, and my first time in hamilton. the city is honestly terrible but it's not really their fault, it's a bit like detroit in that case. my first time hearing cliff and maffy, i remember maffy blowing me away. efrim flubbed the intro of grey rubble pretty hard, so i believe it's the reason why they ended up adding the drum ride into it.
